As a boy, Matt Murdock saved a man from being hit by a truck. Unfortunately for him, the truck crashed and spilled its cargo of extremely toxic chemicals into his face. He awoke in the hospital blind from the toxins, but soon learned that his other senses were amplified as a result of his loss of sight. The toxins enhanced his senses even further, giving him a new, preternatural radar-like sense using sounds around him. With his newfound abilities boosting his already reckless nature, Matt Murdock grew up to become DAREDEVIL, THE MAN WITHOUT FEAR!
